I am a woven textile designer, graduate from Manchester School of Art, 2020. I am influenced by the traditional craft of weaving and inspired by historical references. Growing up in North Wales I was surrounded by historical places and nature which has helped me form many of my projects. I gather most of my research through photography which I then interpret into my own drawings and design work; This process helps me to understand how pattern and colour work together. I enjoy experimenting with different yarns to help understand their qualities and how they could work in an interior setting. My technical skills help me create intricate samples that explore pattern and shape throughout my work.
